Mesmo sendo famoso em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses, o reconhecimento da ra\u00e7a s\u00f3 foi feito em 1969, pois suas caracter\u00edsticas eram parecidas com o <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doutorpet.com\/blog\/conheca-o-lhasa-apso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lhasa Apso<\/a> e foi preciso cruzar uma \u00fanica vez com o Pequin\u00eas para adquirir caracter\u00edsticas pr\u00f3prias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al\u00e9m da beleza, o Shih Tzu <strong>tem bastante energia, gosta de brincar, tem apego ao dono e \u00e9 amig\u00e1vel<\/strong> com os outros animais de estima\u00e7\u00e3o. Essa ra\u00e7a costuma ter problemas ortop\u00e9dicos, hormonais e oftalmol\u00f3gicos, que explicaremos a seguir:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Doen\u00e7as Ortop\u00e9dicas<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A patela \u00e9 um osso no joelho respons\u00e1vel pela sustenta\u00e7\u00e3o e movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o dos membros inferiores. A luxa\u00e7\u00e3o de patela ocorre quando h\u00e1 uma inflama\u00e7\u00e3o, desencadeando num deslocamento. Se ocorrer diversas vezes, o joelho pode sofrer de artrose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para diagnosticar \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio fazer uma radiografia e a corre\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 feita por cirurgia.<\/p>\n<h2>Doen\u00e7as Hormonais<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quando a gl\u00e2ndula da tireoide produz menos horm\u00f4nio que o necess\u00e1rio, ocorre o hipotireoidismo. Existem 3 n\u00edveis: Prim\u00e1rio, Secund\u00e1rio e Cong\u00eanito. O diagn\u00f3stico \u00e9 feito por meio de exames laboratoriais e hormonais e o controle da doen\u00e7a \u00e9 mediante medicamentos.<\/p>\n<h2>Doen\u00e7as Oftalmol\u00f3gicas<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A catarata ocorre quando a parte do olho que controla o foco fica opaca (cristalino). Pode ser contra\u00edda por gen\u00e9tica ou secund\u00e1ria a outras doen\u00e7as como a diabetes por exemplo.
